can wife file a case of 498a after 26 years of marriage??? even if it is a false case, will the court allow it??

The 498a case will be filed by the police, so it is upto them to prove their case, the court will only decide whether it is false or genuine. Firstly the police may not entertain the complaint itself but it depends on the influence over the police byu the other party.
