Legal advise for an affidavit

(Querist) 17 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
Sirs, I am a low abiding citizen of India, I purchased a vehicle but as I am a social worker, I made an affidavit mentioning that the vehicle I bought for using philanthropic works under an NGO, but now that NGO demanding the vehicle is the NGO's property, I am no more working with them, I am the registered owner of it. My doubt is that whether the NGO has any right to claim my vehicle on the basis of the affidavit. I am still paying the EMI and other taxes from my earnings

who are you, an advocate? you have posted two queries on two different topics?
Dr. Jyothi Vishwanath (Expert) 17 July 2013
you are bound by the affidavit if produced against you. Affidavit is a sworn statement.
Be a gentleman and handover the vehicle to the NGO...

I do not agree with the advice of Jyothi. You are registered owner of the vehicle, depositing EMIs and taxes and have never sold hat vehicle to NGO so none has any legal right thereto.

Clearly refuse to handover the vehicle to NGO and let them take legal action, if any.

You should not worry.

I agree with our learned counsel Mr.Makkad jii
