(Querist) 15 March 2013 This query is : Resolved

Dear Experts,

We have a room about 100 sq ft which was purchased by us for a consideration of rs 25000 in 1982 through consent terms (Court Order). The problem is such there co operative society was formed in our vicinity and all my neighbours became the member of the society except for us due to some financial problem however we wish to become become the member in society as on date but the Chairman refused the application and informed us that we need to pay stamp duty and secondly the document should be registered however as far as my knowledge is concerned there was no stamp duty payable in 1983 as the value was below 50000 what is a suitable remedy other than stamp duty registration please suggest sir

You are required to get the decree registered only then your action can be held legal.

The problem in registration is that both the parties i.e purchaser and seller are deceased and how the registration be done in this case. Can the registration be made on the basis of affidavit by the legal heir please suggest the suitable remedy
