Two wheelers sale

SIR, I have a kinetic honda vehicle reg expired.I had purchased it in 1991.I want to dispose that vehicle as scrap to mechanic.please inform me what I should do while disposing it since the vehicle is registerd in my name and has chasis number and engine number on it.sOME PEOPLE TELL ME THAT IT CAN BE MISUSED IF I DISPOSE IT SINCE IT IS STILL IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE MECHANIC WILL DO AFTER TAKING IT FROM ME.HE ALSO ASKED FOR THE PAPERS(ORIGINALS)PLEASE KINDLY TELL ME THE PROCEDURE.

write an application to the Registration Authority.

Get the registration cancelled by moving an application to the registering authority and also mention therein the name of hte mechanic in whose hands you are going to sale the same is scrap.
