Bail for 498a

Sir,

Can i no the processure for bail in 498A case,is there any cash bail or employees require for surity.,if cash means how much amount requre per person or employees means how many employees require for each person for bail.Plz give ur valuable suggestion.

Dear Sekhar,

That depends on the discretion of the judge. Broadly there are two ways in which judge can release on bail, one : on the basis of a surety coming forward furnishing a bond that he would pay a certain amount of money if you jump bail (meaning not turning up at trial) this may be anywhere between 5,000 to 50,000/-.

If there are no sureties that a person can furnish the judge can release on personal bond or cash deposit.
