Denial to provide legal documents - builders

Respected experts,

Iam looking for a house in bangalore and when we approach buildings that are under construction and ask for legal documents before paying the booking amount-

1. most small time builders are reluctant and say that they will provide legal documents after booking amount is paid.

2. And that if any legal complications the booking amount will be refunded

Please enlighten me as to what can be the reasons for not providing legals docs before booking amount.

They may be crooks ,do not get involved to loose money in their favor.It is buyer duty to inquire title before entering in deal.

Fully agree with Mr. Singh.There can be no reason for supplying photocopies of docs. unless the intention is bad or there is something vital to hide.

Mr. Singh opinion is right.I want to add one thing if you interested to purchase pls visit town planing office inquire about the builder construction profile and concern revenue authority.
