Sale of property on cerified copy of sale deed

(Querist) 16 August 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
We are four brothers, partners of a firm owning a indusrtial property at Vijayawada. The property was registered to us in the name of the firm by APIIC LTD, Vijayawada.
We lost the original Sale Deed two years ago and we have obtained a Certified Copy of the Original Sale Deed from the Registrar after giving a police complaint and a notification in the local newspaper. Now, we want to sell the property, but the buyers are insisting on the original deed as they have to go for a bank loan.
Please advise.

There should not be the problem show them the certified copy of original sale deed and copy of the public notice published in newspaper for the satisfaction of buyer and bank u can again go for a public notice this time not for the lost of documents but for sale of premises also to be mentioned in public notice is about lost of ur sale deed upon completion of the period of public notice a lawyer will issue a no-claim certificate which is issued only when no claims are made during the period of public notice This would be a sufficient compliance and bank would be satisfied
