Partition of property....

I want to ask whether a daughter can get share in her father`s property or she can only get share from her mother`s property.....! should she has equal right in both`s property.....!

she has no right to her parents self acquired property . parents can dispose of property as they desire . if they die intestate then she has share .

sir,i heard that girls have only right in their mothers property not on her fathers property... and boys have right over their fathers property...is it true?

I have contrary opinion to that of my brother Shonne Kapoorji's view
Daughter will get equal share to that of her son in her parents property if they have left intestate. Hindu Succession Act is amended to that effect.
