Whether we have to submit Return of Deposit pursuant to Rule 10 of Co.s (Acceptance of Deposits)Rules, 1975, to RBI. Is there any notification/ directive for discontinuance of the same? Pls let me also know whether we can file the same on line and if yes, how ?

1. What all is to be filed?
Form 62 with MCA with FD Return as attachment is to be filed online on mca.gov.in.
Also simultaneously file the return with RBI.
2. When to be filed?
The return is to be filed by June 30th.
3. For which period?
It has to be filed for Apr 1 to Mar 31.
4. Which Rule is applicable?
Rule 10 of Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 1975.
5. Whether NIL return to be filed?
No. once all the deposits have been repaid, no return is to be filed.

Thanks. But I want to know whether the ruturn of Deposit is required to be submitted to RBI. If yes, in which department and i want contact no.s of RBI so that i can enquire there. I think the practice of submitting the same to RBI has been discontinued. pls let me know whether there is any directive of RBI on the same.
