It depends upon the fact how many period have been passed in such employment. If a contractual employee is doing his/her job from a period of about 20 years without break in any concern, then Supreme Court says in its various citations that employee in question should be regularised.

Dear Prabhat,

Any direction given by any court of law in any case applies specifically to that particular case only, unless there is a clear direction of the SC to be made applicable generally to all similar types of cases. It is better you please request the management to make you a regular employee of the organisation based on the merits of your long experience in service.

As per my best information, there is no such direction by SC.

What do you mean by permanent?

Do you mean that this permanent means they can not be terminated?
