Change of name or correction ont the name

Dear Sir,

Can you furnish the details of change name & correction on the name in Tamil Nadu I wish to change my son's name as per the meaning of religious matter.

In addition to this I need to correct my name which has been pronounced and wrongly entered in the certificates as well as my degrees which is in connection of my passport and other legal documents etc.

You need to issue a gazette notification for the change of name in the format prescribed. You have to apply to the Director of Stationary and Printing Chennai for the change of name with the fee prescribed.On the basis of the notification you can get the name changed in the school records.

I do agree with Isaac. Publication of your announcement in 2 daily news-papers is also must before publication in Gazette.
