Property tax

My freind has purchased flat for which he is paying property tax quarterly shall he get any exemption in incoem tax under which section

Yes the amount of property tax is deducted from the annual value of the property if it is let out, further, if the property is self occupied then the property tax cannot be claimed as a deduction.
