Before joining llb Iwant to se environment in courts right upto high court at least

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 25 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am about 23 years old, female, graduate in science. I am going to do llb in out city.

But before I chose to finally take admission, once I want to go and see what all happens in Courts completely.

I want to go to all types of courts like taluka court, district court and high court.

I went to district court, but could not go inside any court room.

I live very near to Mumbai.

Am I allowed to see the court cases inside and how judge and lawyer talk there.
Its all crowded.

This is a big decision for me.

Also the moment I take admission, I want to look for some part time job with some lawyer.

Can a student start going to court to get experience of all environment?

Do such students get any voluntering type jobs in courts directly and some suitable work experience at any senior lawyer.

Is there any entry/muster to enter into any courtrooms to watch the scene there.

its good to know that you are quite interested in the whole procedure...

if you really intend to observe the entire system, then join some good lawyer....he wont pay you and otherwise also you will not have any substantial work to do there....but you will get a lot of practical experience there...

most of the times its not advisable to enter the courts so early but nowadays it all depends upon the competence of a person.

best of luck.

It's you are interested in taking up Llb. course. But pl. bear in mind Llb. degree enables you to take up other activities and vocation besides working as a practicing lawyer.
In case you need exposure to volunteering work in the field of law, you can look out for various social organisation engaged in Legal aid assistance to needy public.

Besides , since you are an graduate and interested in the field of law, you can visit lower courts to watch legal proccedings and there is no restriction or bar for the same.Only you have to maintain decorum of the court. If you join a law firm, you will be in a better position to visit courts of choice.
