how long are the notaries required to maintain their registers? can we get details of something that was registered 5 years back?

notarial register is of permanent records and required to be preserved permanently. you can get information entered in the register, how ever, the same can be obtained only through the procedure prescribed under the law.

you can obtained the certified copy of the entry from the concerned Notary by paying the prescribed fee as prescribed by the State concerned or may summon the records in the judicial proceedings.
