Claim on property

(Querist) 21 January 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/madam,

My grandfather was having 75cents of land that was actually gifted by his friend since he adopted his son at the age of 1year.

But It was registered as a acquired land by my grandfather.

My father senior member of the family looked after the family since his father retired and died in the year 1994 and he helped financially of his family members which include 4 daughters(including their husbands and sons) and 1 younger brother.

Now all the 4 daughters claiming partition in that land which belongs to my grandfather.

Can you please advice on this issue?

Better to sort out the issues by discussion among family members..legal battle may be frustratingly long drawn..

ALL THE SIBLINGS OF YOUR FATHER HAS A RIGHT ON IT EQUALLY. ITS BETTER TO SORT OUT AMICABLY THEN TO APPROACH TO COURT.

But the adopted son of my grandfather(my uncle) discussed with each daughters on behalf of my father ready to give some share like (for each 5 cents). But they are very keen to get their equal share in total 75cents.

Are they really eligible to get the equal share? or is there any limit like no share for people got married before 1984 HUF act?

Please help me in this regard
