whether application under section 5 of the Limitation Act for condonation of delay in preferring an appeal u/s 17(1) of the SRFAESI Act is maintanable or not? If yes then what are the precedents?

Limitation act applies in all legal proceedings unless some other legislation expressly provides its' own special limitation.
