Let us assume u r right FIR if filed means police accepted, then the investigation would take place, after investigation report FIR based charge sheet would surface at JMFC concerned, then you can plead your matter with your facts...eg if the police do not file the medical report along with their charge sheet , the case would be dismissed in the first hearing itself if there was no grievous injury or minor injury as you stated.
if your claim of minor injury is a fact why you fear my dear man!

Police can register the complaint and investigate. Only after investigation, if they feel the complaint is genuine they may file charge sheet in the court at that you are required to defend yourself. If they feel that the complaint is false, they will simply ignore the complaint.

You will get an opportunity to prove that this was a false case during trial so wait until then.
