Alimony is fixed at 1/3rd of your salary in normal course. It depends upon the court to fix the amount.

There is no fixed formula for calculation of the maintenance or Alimony amount , it is on the discretion of the court as every case differs from other.
In a general point of view it is usually the 30% of the amount of your actual income per month.

Dear Querist
if your wife is unable to maintain herself and left your company with her own wish then she is not entitle to get maintenance from you but your daughter will be entitle if she is minor.
if there is any settlement between you and your wife then the terms and condition of settlement will be followed by both the parties.

There is no yard stick to fix the quantum of maintenance or alimony. It purely depends upon the situation of both the parties, their status, source of income and few other aspects including discretion of the court. The court in its order will clearly mention the details, so wait for the court's order.
