Electric connection for Advocate

Is an advocate entitled to a single domestic electricity connection for office and residence rather than commercial connection. I being an advocate have commercial connection which are used at my office n residence. Since I don't sit in office at all due to busy in court n other legal works , I want to convert from commercial to domestic electricity connection. Please define procedure. is there any case laws in this matter. In which proper court I should filing an application against electric department.

Prashant Kerala HC had given decision that advocate office is not the commercial organisation.
hence u can get the domestic connection for your office premises.

From which state do you belong?
There has been various decision to consider office as commercial while other are of the view that the same can be of domestic electric connection.

IN Madras High Court
Syed Tajudeen Madani vs The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board on 9 November, 2011, the Madras Hghcourt has held that an advocate office is not a commercial organization and hence you can apply for residential or domestic electricity connection for your residence as well as office.
