multiple firs of 420 467 468 471 so multiple cases?

(Querist) 07 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
hello all , i am following this forum for more than 5 years , unfortunately today i have a situation
My Father have been booked under sections of 420 467 468 471 , case is registered for fraud and forgery of amount of 1.5 crore rs.
he have been in police custody for a long time but not yet produced in the courts
now i believe 2 more FIRs have been registered under 420,467,468 and i believe 120B (these FIRs are registered in state where actually everything happened , though the first FIR Under which he have been booked is other state - which is actually a lame story.

at this point my main question is , IF all forgeries happened at one place only (related to govt. reciepts) , 420/cheating is complained by 2 different people in different states.
How many cases will be registered ? 2 different cases in different states or multiple cases depending on number of FIRs (not more than 3).
police will give same chalan/chargesheet in court depending on FIR?
i wanted to write the all case in detail , but i am little feared as the people who are filling all these are too dangerous.

P.S. they have mentioned Threats to kill/murder .. but i think no section have been added in the FIR

thanks in advance

(this is copy paste from my post in the forum , as i got confused actually where to post this)

Since commission of offences have been committed in respect of more than one govt. documents then more than one case cna be filed.
Apply for bail and then fight the case on merit.

Unlimited cases may be registered.
It is the cause of action and not the State that confers jurisdiction of a Court.
Your statement inter alia "they have mentioned Threats to kill/murder .." "...but i think no section have been added in the FIR" is vague and confusing.

. multiple cases can be filed

forgery done with govt. documents is done only with government department of one state and one office to be particular.

first case under which he is booked is too lame (almost false FIR) so i believe such case would be easily solved or atleast get bail easily.

"they have mentioned Threats to kill/murder .." "...but i think no section have been added in the FIR""

by this i meant that , in FIR its written that my father have threaten them to kill many times , but only 420 467 468 471 written in FIR , no section for threats is written in FIR, Can they add such sections while they file chargesheet?

if multiple cases are filed , multiple bails will be needed?

i will narrate the whole story in my next post

Agree with the advise of experts, consult a local lawyer expert in criminal law and show him all the papers.

I too agree with the experts advise on the issue, you may consult a local criminal law practicing lawyer for further advise on the subject.

Yes, for multiple criminal cases multiple bail petition will be needed. Multiplication of offenses could have been checked up by filing a writ of mandamus in the High Court which might have been overlooked or ignored in your defense planning.

Each and every case is and shall be dealt with and tried separatly and independently, as advised by the experts.
