Management
“Management”—so pleasing the term sounds –
---but, at the same time- creating sounds emanating from the earth in the form of tremors --ringing in the years – it’s vibrations passing through the entire curvature of the whole body—alerting the employees straightening up their spinal chord & rejuvenating their brain cells –
---of course once upon a time, when the attitude of the Management was “Manage” to “mend” signifying effective Control—
---the emphasis there-after being shifted from “Control” to “Co-ordination”—
--and finally settling down at “Participatory Team Building” thereby replacing the concept of “Manage” to “Mend” with the concept of “Manage” to “Amend” learning from the lessons of the past—forecasting the futuristic approach –keeping in mind the structure of the Present --
--traveling all the way through troubled waters navigating in the OCEAN of
KNOWLEDGE always and in all ways subjected to the vagaries of weather— & ultimately standing steadfastly for---
M –Monitoring
A – Application
N – Nurturing
A – Attitudes
G – Generating
E – Efficiency
M – Mentoring
E – Effectivity
N – Navigating
T – Throughout
Then comes, the question as to what to manage?
Money – Men – Materials – Machines
How to manage?
Through Methods
Management is a PANCHAKSHARI MANTHRA comprising:-
Money – Men – Materials – Machinery & Methods
While the first four take place of four fingers, the fifth finger is the THUMB FINGER, without which the functioning of the first four fingers remains insignificant. The term “METHODS” appears to have sourced it’s origination from the Term “MET – HODS” ie., HODS – MET ie., Heads Of the Departments MET ie., Meeting of the Heads of the Departments to formulate the policies, review the policies, review the aspects of implementation read with the performance and performance parameters ; so goes on the methodical analysis of the term;
Accordingly, in terms of the above analogy, Management forms a FIST covering the above Five Fingers providing THRUST & IMPETUS to the driving force and the deriving force to the term “Management” – itself---the aspect of MONEY being taken care of by FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT – the aspect of MEN being taken care of by HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT - the aspect of MATERIALS being taken care of by MATERIALS MANAGEMENT – the aspect of MACHINES being taken care of by PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT & ultimately the aspect of METHODS being taken care of ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT. These in turn appear to have given rise to various inter-disciplinary sub-disciplines such as Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Office Management, Staff Management, Pay Roll Management, Public Relations, Customer Relationship Management etc., from and out of Human Resources Management – Banking Management, Financial Project Management, Audit Management, International Banking, Financial Control etc.., forming part of Financial Management - Purchases Management, Sales Management, Export Management, Import Management, Quality Management, ISO 9000 Quality Standards Management, forming part of Materials Management – Production Management, Machinery Management, Cost Control, Costing Management, Operations Management etc., forming part of Machines Management – Total Management, Systems Analysis and Control Management, Systems Management, Output Measurement Management, Performance Management etc., forming part of Methods Management.
Whom to manage?
Which areas to be managed?
What activities to be managed?
Why to manage?
Then think and plan and implement as to how to manage?
This is Management.
Identify the areas of deficiency;
Plug the holes;
Identify the areas of improvement;
Apply your mind;
Success is yours;
Don’t get disheartened at any point of time and on any issue;
Management activity is just like a perennial river flowing and flowing and flowing quenching the thirst of land as well as Mankind; Efforts are eternal;
“Hope” is the nucleus of the Management Cell;
Management commences it’s journey with Hoping;
It leads to Hopping;
It gains further momentum;
It turns into Galloping;
Ultimately it strengthens it’s firm grip, ripping all the hurdles coming it’s way thereby achieving horizontal expansion and vertical growth.

With specific reference to Mr. Raj Kumar Makkad's observations reading " your definitions are ok but where is your query?", I am to respond as follows:-
Hats off to your assimilation of the topic being reduced to definitions and your comments thereon!
Coming to the query, it stands inferred ie., it is inherent in the presentation projecting at the conclusion: Isn't it?!.(though not expressed in writing)
I convey my thanks of gratitude and encouraging observations of appreciation to Mr. Nadeem Quereshi & Mr. Prabhakar Singh.

With full respect towards author, I want to remind that this particular 'expert' section is meant only for raising legal queries/difficulties being faced by general litigants and this is not a place to share knowledge. If anyone has some knowledgeable fact/news/article etc. then such should be conveyed through specific places provided under this site so was my response towards your otherwise nice material.
It is your sweet desire to follow this rule or not but what ever I thought in consonance with rules of cite, I conveyed it to you.

Thanks for your observations and it has already been mentioned in the last para of my observations on your comments that a lot of articles have already been submitted for publications under the Articles Column.
I also convey my thanks of gratitude for your observations on the issue of non-grant of pension by Central Warehousing Corporation, A Government of India Undertaking. I had also attached a copy of my detailed representation submitted by me during the month of March, 2011, where in all the points have already been raised in depth and at length. For that matter, I have been handling a lot of legal disputes and had been quite successful in getting the grievances of the clients redressed through representations only without even availing of the filing of the cases in courts and tribunals in my capacity as a Service Matters Consultant /Service Matters Expert.
Once again, thank you for sharing your legal expertize in this behalf.

Dear Sree Rama,
Needless to emphasize, the present section was and is NOT meant for posting articles when articles section is quite distinct. Moreover, any diversion from the present issue of article on management to some query of some other link that too without its link reference on pension issue with the Central Warehousing Corporation is not the reply to the query raised by Shri Makkad.
Further to it, your criticism of the Expert Shri Makkad on his question was also not justified by your exclaimatory and critical statement, "Hats off to your assimilation of the topic being reduced to definitions and your comments thereon!" as if you wanted detailed discussion on each aspect of management, as included in your article.
It clearly seems that you posted your article specifically in the section meant for queries (which is doubtlessly an abuse) just to attract attention of the experts with your expectation for appreciation of your managerial insight.
Experts would definitely like to appreciate your management insight, provided you post such scholarly articles only in the articles section.

Dear Sree Rama.
You have already stated that a number of articles have already been submitted for placement on the articles section for publication. So, repetition of the said instance on your part is not understood.
Moreover, if a number of articles have already been submitted for placement on the articles section that does not mean your quota on that section is fulfilled and submission of your articles in other sections is justified on your part. When the administration has already earmarked particular sections for specific posts, question of posting in the sections which are not relevant to the issue cannot at all be justified.

Dear Sree Rama,
Your reaction clearly indicates, as if you don't prefer to heed any rational advice from some one against your own views and even you won't refrain to settle the scores with the person who tries to advise you against your wrong actions. You first reacted to the message of Shri Makkad and not instead of admitting your fault has been trying to stretch the issue.
I wonder, if you really is a ratjional manager, while you speak through your writing about replacing the concept of “Manage” to “Mend”, attitudes, mentoring, applying mind, ensure monitoring of application of mind, what activities to be managed, etc.
What I find, your peace of article is not just to make the experts aware about your management ideas, but to misuse this section just as a means of publicity when you have given your full address, emails and phone numbers, etc. below the article.
Better avoid misusing this forum for your publicity purposes.
