Hello experts my and family ipc 498a case is pending for hearing at allahbad after mediation failed... And today i received a call from I.O stating have i taken bail for ipc 420 case if not warrant will be issued... We haven't received any complaint letter.
Background car was purchased during marriage under my name 90% payment done by inlaws and rest by me to avail discounts and they have reported fraud. Foolish me i was helping them to get discounts
I. O has informed me to settle matter however want to ask i have 2 dates one next week where i have filed suit to take her stridhan and furniture back and second after 15 days at allahbad for bail or surrender orders now can they come to arrest me??? For precautions i have gone to other place and do i need to take separate stay for this ipc 420 for which i don't have any letter from police

Firstly find out whether the offence under S.420 has been added to the FIR or not.
If not then certainly the IO is blackmailing you, in such a even you may move an application , before the higher police authorities, for transfer of investigation to some senior police officer.
You must have engaged some lawyer at local level, he must have advised you something on this count.
If any such offence has been added to the FIR then certainly you will have to seek bail for those allegations as well.

Thank you sir,They have made 3 visits to showroom and writing letter and asking answer,in there last visit inspector with one govt advocate came where i was present aswell,,asking same question why there is no written letter from wife declaring transfer of car in my name,,.and I have asked for copy but they have told me to visit UP mahila thana for copy and today received call,, yes have lawyers but in delhi not in UP..I have asked people known to me to speak to IO over there..while incase the case is registered can I take a plea on same date pending under 498a

Take bail 420 case also. In matrimonial disputes 420 IPC section hardly stands , that too of this nature.

Prima facie it is a hypothetical story and not a query by author who has earlier also been posting such questions.
I agree with experts Section 498 and 420 IPC do not stand together and the IO might be blackmailing the accused.
Either the author is confused or trying to confuse the experts on this platform.

In UP there is no anticipatory bail. You say that you have taken bail on earlier occasion, so better follow the same procedure for bail this time too for this 420 case, what is your lawyer's opinion about this?

Hello ADV T. Kalaiselvan Sir, My lawyers have told me ie to file RTI to get FIR details or ask local lawyer at agra to get details. as of now I have moved and have date in march at high court and have asked lawyer at Allahabad to get copy file it with same 498a case which is pending, till that time I have moved.
Just came across sec 177 which I think is suffice to quash IPC 420 charges, as Car is registered in delhi and was given to me in delhi in marriage happened in Delhi, I think I am write here as what does sec states
