Shareholder is owner of the company. In relation to the company, he is not a consumer.

There have been a few Cases where the National Commission has considered such disputes under the purview of Consumer Protection Act.

Can you please mention the facts of your case?

It will provide us an opportunity to analyse and advise accordingly.

Share holder of Private Limited Company or Public Limited Company? Disputes of share holder and his Private Limited Company will not come under purview of Consumer Protection Act. As regards the share holder-vis-a-vis Public Limited Company, unless full facts are given, it is not possible to give you proper advice. Literally share-holder is the owner of the company of to the extent of the shares he holds.
