Proceedings after ncr

Dear Sirs,

I have lodged a NC at local police station in the presence of the opposite party. Police has issue me a copy of NCR lodged under section 507 of IPC.

How I have to proceed further in the matter? Is it compulsory for me to make an application to the magistrate? If yes, what is time limit? If not, what is the significance and time validity of said NCR issued by police?

You have stated to have filed and the same has been acknowledged by police, what else you want to do, instead why dont you give the punishment also directly instead of taking up the matter again with the magistrate.
