Indian passport

Hi
My father got divorced according to islamic law in 1997, and then through civil court in 2003.

His ex wife still continues to this day use his name and also in her indian passport she had renewed in 2005, she has has used my fathers name.

Is there such a law that prohibits her from using his name as using my fathers name in some way confirms she is stll attached to my father?

Does the indian passport office allow this or is this against the rules of making a passport application?

Your father can take injunction order against her by filing suit for permanent injunction.

Just inform the passport office by an application along with a certified copy of divorce decree.Her passport shall be rejected/cancelled .

if your father has no objection she can continue to use her husband name after divorce . if however you father has objection he should write to his ex wife to stop using his name . if she refuses to take head he can move courts for necessary reliefs
