we are belonging to the caste perika balija which comes under BC-B , but at my schooling , due to lack of knlwledge or lack of guidance,my father wrote my caste as balija which is OC. Now , i want to change my caste in the school and in my college records. How can I change this? I am from Andhra Pradesh, please help me?
Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to change caste records in school and college, specifically for a student from Andhra Pradesh whose caste was incorrectly recorded as OC instead of Perika Balija (BC-B). The advice suggests writing to school authorities, providing a caste certificate, and potentially submitting a notary affidavit if proof is lacking. It's primarily a procedural matter to be handled with the school and District Education Office (DEO).

Hello,

You can write letter to school authorities for change of caste in their records. You may be required to produce caste certificate before school authorities for changing caste certificate.

Take up the matter with the school authorities to rectify the error. Submit necessary documents.

Ninu veedani needanu nene, is there any certificate of your father/mother regarding the caste? If your parents any such certificate, it is some easy. However, you have to submit an application to the DEO of your District with proof if any. If you have no proof, your parents shall give a Notary Affidavit regarding your correct caste then submit the application.
