Can i study law at age 35

sir i am now 35 yrs of age and want to study law, am i eligible for studying, is there any age bar restricted in studying law. please suggest me

I don't think there is any restriction for studying law at any age. You can very well study law at the age of 35.

No age restriction for studying Law.My mother in law passed her Law Degree at age 65.

There is an age restriction of 30 years as per BCI.

This rule has been stayed by some of the High Courts like Delhi and therefore such a limitation does not apply in those areas.

However, in Tamil Nadu and at other places this age restriction is applied.

Therefore, it may not be correct to say that there is no age limit for admission.

One has to actually verify from each of the university whether any such age limitation applies in that university or not.

There is no one universally applicable answer to this query.

Bar council India has recommended for maximum age on admission to B.A., LL.B. Course; however, these are only recommendatory and not mandatory. These recommendations have been inserted in Schedule III Para 28 of Bar Council India Rules of Legal Education so still it depends upon University to university whether it has followed the recommendation or not.

I am afraid, the matter relating to age limitation for admission to LL.B. has not so far reached the SC. It is still before the HCs only.

prescription of 30 years age is stayed by Different High Court and Supreme Court India collected all these case for final disposal but stay is there
