Hello experts,
A few days back I had asked about the evidences to be collected against noisy neighbour.
Well, I have started recording the noise. I even requested a neighbour (living on the same floor as mine) to come and see the noise disturbance created by upstair flat occupant, to which he complied. I am also keeping a log of his noisy activities.
I am not sure if keeping a log of his noisy activities will be of any use.
Now the problem is due to this lock down we cannot approach police or court with this matter (as country is dealing with something much more serious and important).
We are stuck in home with this suffering.

Hi,
I stay in a multi storied apartment complex in Kelambakam(Chennai)
It has 8 floors.
There is a water seepage/dampness in my wall, plumber checked and requested to assess upper flat.
He noticed that there is water stagnation in bathroom of upper flat due to uneven tiles - water is not going to drain pipe smoothly.. I called Owner of that flat and he is supportive, he told me to help me b getting estimate and he will bear the expenses..The problem is tenant is non co operative, he is not allowing plumber/mason to come and do assessment/ give estimate..He knows an intermediary person , who claims to be owners friend..Owner's friend is telling that tiles shall not be fixed..he known local police, politicians and put all false cases on me..i updated owner diectly, he told that i can get estimate, he will talk to tenant to coordinate and ask friend to not interfere....intermediate person is calling me on daily basis and threatening me daily since then..I had now submitted a request to association to look in to this issue..this intermediate person is telling that he brought the tenenat and he will support tenant only..please advise..
Hello dear experts.
I wanted to know what kind of evidences can be collected against noisy upstair neighbour for filling a lawsuit.
The noise is that of some heavy object getting dragged, loud thumping sound.
This nuisance continues till around 1am.
Does local municipal corporation play any role in controlling such disturbances?
Also, approximately how much time it takes in court to get an outcome?
Thanks in advance.
Difference between cheque and bank draft and others
Dear Professional Friends
Section 131A of Negotiable Instruments Act states all the provisions of Chapter XIV of N.I Act will be applicable to
Bank Drafts also.
My query is what is the difference between Cheque and Bank Draft?
Section 138 of NI Act inter alia states a cheque should be deposited within 3 months from the date of its draw.
Is this limitation is applicable to Draft also?
My third query is :
25. When day of maturity is a holiday.—When the day on which a promissory note or bill of exchange is at maturity is a public holiday, the instrument shall be deemed to be due on the next preceding business day.
What is the meaning of " next preceding business day"
