Vacate a rent house

I have rented a house and an agreement is made for 11 months. But i have shifted to some other place in 5th month and i have informed owner about this. but he is telling i have give rent till 11 month if nobody comes there to rent that house. what can be done in this case?

If their is any such conditions or obligations in a rental agreement to recover rent till 11 month if nobody comes there to rent that house then owner can recover that amount.

what are the clauses in agreement / generally an agreement contains a clause that after giving one month or 2 months notice either party can terminate agreement .

please scrutinise your agreement . if agreement is silent you will have to pay 11 months licence fees

in agreement it has mentioned that if we want to continue to stay after 11 month then we have to give a 1 month notice period so that they will renew the agreement. otherthan that nothing is mentioned.

Yes. Am also agree with all experts. Especially with mr.sethi. Here you can proceed as rep your agreement only. Nothing beyond than that..

but it is also mentioned in agreement that 1 month notice period should give prior to vacate. In this case also i have to pay the rent for 11 months?
