in case of transfer of property my father has passed away now i am only legal heir of this property . i want to know this property to transfer to on my name so what is charger of this transfer of property matter . i want to know ?

best get the legal heir certificate from tashildar, thereafter change your name in the deed.

you should told also what property it is? a house or a land,if land then is it agricultural or residential or commercial?

Any way as advised obtain the heir certificate then apply for mutation before authorities where name of your father was recorded with respect to this property.

the prcedure would vary from state to state. where are you located? is it a flat in cooperative society or independent bungalow?

clarify mr prabhakar queries as to whether it is agricultural or non agricultural .

Procedure in Delhi is very easy. Move a simple application in the name of MCD supported with your duly sworn affidavit to the effect that your father was earlier owner in possession of house unit no. .........who has expired on .........and you are his only legal heir and further you indemnify that if at any later stage any other person claim as legal heir of deceased Sh. ...son of .........son of .........resident of ........ expired on........then you shall be responsible and shall meet out all losses, if any to MCD and other govt. agencies connected thereto.

You should enclose your House Tax Receipt Voucher and death certificate of your father. Nominal charges are required to be deposited in such case say below Rs. 2000/-
