There is no problem for it.
Normally, you need not to intimate or get permission from your employer for the same.

By becoming a Central Government s servant a person does not cease to be a citizen. He is only bound or restrained by the Rules contained in the conduct Rules. And the said Rules do not impose any restrictions as to standing surety.
