How to withdraw divorce petition

(Querist) 03 January 2014 This query is : Resolved
I am male and i have filed divorce case in tamilnadu around 18 months ago. My wife's lawyer inquired me in the court. i said i can not live with her and i need divorce.

After that with the help friends we had a several round of discussion and decided to live together.

Now we would like to withdraw our petition. please let me know the procedure.

Do we need to withdraw it or we can leave it ? will the case get closed automatically, if we don't do anything?

thanks

Request your advocate to do that.Good Decision and wishing both of you all the best

You can either withdraw it or leave it unattended to die it automatically.
V R SHROFF (Expert) 03 January 2014
best way is to apply for mediator/councillor, and settle the matter , before court, that you amicably decided to live together, and started living together, and hence withdraw divorce pet.
Court record will help you in case of future dispute.

It is better to withdraw the said case by making a statement in the court.

Though you could let it get dismissed in default too, that may create problems at later stage, if God forbid any party goes to court.

Well advised by the expert. It would be a better course of action to get the amicable understanding noted in the court record as advised by the expert VR Shroff.

SHAME ON THIS FELLOW TO ATTEND THIS 11 MONTH OLD QUERY, little realising that he himself had attended the query earlier.

HE IS TRYING ALL THESE GIMMICS TO HIDE HIS FALSE AND FRADULENT PROFILE.

This fellow cannot even be a last person one can consult for any advice.

This fellow is good for nothing. Many a times he gives advices which are not supported by law.

TAKE THIS FELLOWS FALSITY IN HIS PROFILE. THIS FELLOW ATTACHES MORE IMPORTANCE TO THE PROFILE, WHILE HE IS FILLING UP TOTAL FALSE HOOD IN HIS PROFILE.
