(Querist) 03 April 2010 This query is : Resolved 
a person has property inhis name vide awill from his father, a sale deed in which he was purchaser and gift deed by a woman ??? now the person has died intestate survived by 4 children......a son and three daughters...how will the said property be divided ??? after going through Hindu succession act ..i think the property be divided in 4 shares...am i right ?????

Yes it will be divided into 4 shares(if the deceased man's wife is also dead, else 5 parts). Clarify the date of death of the person
