I am the owner of an apartment in a complex at Vandalur, Chennai. I have 3 rescued dogs that live in my apartment. I would like to take the dogs to play to the common terrace twice a day at a time when no one elese is using the terrace. I am willing to discuss with the neighbours and abide by timings for this purpose. However, the builder who has handed over all the flats in the building but has other buildings under construction has barred the door preventing me from using the terrace. There has been no mention of pets in the sale deed etc. There is no association formed as yet.Kindly advice

Eventually you will be thrown out on the street along with the street dogs. Dont risk all that, Hand over the dogs to govt dog shelter. People like you are already paying tax to govt for maintaining dogs found on street.
Even if there is no clause in sale deed, you cant become nuisance to others. Street dogs are menace, you rearing them in your separate bungalow is ok but not when you live in a flat. If it is ok purchase separate flat for the dogs for them to play. It does not sound alright isnt it? Do things which are normal. Not the opposite. Avoid troubling people and then searching for soulution in courts.

But I am the owner of the apartment. By what law can I be thrown out. Are you lawyers? The dogs are no menace at all to anyone. They are vaccinated, healthy and live in our home most of the time.
