procedure for claiming of FDR from ESCORTS FINANCE LTD.

MY FIXED DEPOSIT IS MATURE SINCE 3 YRS. AND STILL I DO NOT GET MONEY TILL NOW FROM ESCORTS FINANCE LTD.
WHAT STEP SHOULD I TAKE TO GET MY MONEY BACK AS SOON AS POOSIBLE?
CAN I DEFEND THIS CASE IN CONSUMER FORUM OR NOT?

Have you served a notice on the company for payment of your amount? If not, serve a notice first and only upon the failure of the company to make payment you should initiate legal proceedings.

Although you may avail the remedy of Consumer Forum but rememeber section 24-A of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 provides limitation period of two years.

Try also find out if they had defaulted the payment of other depositor alsoand jointly pursue the matters with them if it is time barred by more tha two years.
