On my mother name we have one Mahada make house which is Row House single floor type & having common wall.
Few Year (say 15-20 Year) back neighbor modify construction in which he develop home with 3 floor(base+2) during that he use all material & space which is common to both house. The amount he spend or plan of construction on this house is not discuss with us.
On last 4 year back we constructed house with 2 floor (base+1).
From few day back he was asking about amount of common wall which is he spend during construction.The amount is consider by current rate of material.
He also threat many times regarding the same.
Please suggest what can I do.
Note we have not received any authorize payment bill from neighbor regarding above mentioned issue.Also their is no any return agreement before construction.Even verbal discussion is not done

when was common wall constructed . ask him to justify the maount claimed with documentary proofs . if he thretens you lodge police complaint against him

Hope both of you have obtain proper permissions from Mhada and Local authority.
Check whether you have given any consent or undertaking to your neighbour that you will share the cost of construction when you will construct your house.The claim of your neighbour for cost of construction in the absence of an agreement is time barred.
