What is the procedure to correct muncipal record of wakf property

Will you please intimate me what is the procedure to correct muncipal records of property illegally encroached by the encroacher in Punjab. Property in question is a wakf property as per gazatte notification govt of india

you can get EC it will show, and file a suit against occupier

Mr. Sheik,

I am sorry. The EC will only show who are the registered owners at various points of time.

How will the EC will show whether it is Legal or illegal?

Dear Mr. Javed,

I think you have some wrong understanding about the issue.

First and foremost you have to have proper documents which show that the property is in the name of the Wakf.

Once the property is in the name of the Wakf as per Sub-Registrar's records, then on that basis you can have the same entered accordingly in the Municipal Records.

It is not clear from your query what do you mean by correcting Municipal Records.

If the property is in the name of the Wakf, but somebody is physically occupying (encroaching) it then, you have to file a case for eviction from the said property in the appropriate Civil Court.

But if the property is not in the name of the Wakf in Municipal records (meaning thereby that the property is also not in name of Wakf in the records of Sub-Registrar), the persons in occupation cannot be evicted simply by any correction to Municipal Records.

Thanks for your guidence. Property is Wakf Property and under the control of illegal encroacher Wakf Board give order U/s 54 of Wakf Act 1995 and execution petition also filed.illegal encroacher got recorded wrong entry in muncipal record in their favour and on this basis he filed civil suit before tribunal. Kindy guide me what is the procedure to change these enteries
