Credit card payment unpaid

My own brother had not paid paid the credit card payment and which is pending for 3 years since 2009. The bank insists me and my father to settle the payment. Because now he absconded somewhere and we too dont know where he is. Also he had submitted a statement saying that he had spent all the credit card money for family. But the statement is wrong.

Now i want to know, Is that the bank has the rights to ask to settle the payment by me?

Please advice and help on this.

Bank has got no right, title or interest to recover even a single penny from either of your family members against the outstanding of your brother if none of you is surety/guarantor against him.

refuse to pay . loan has been taken by your brother . he is liable to pay

Even if his statement that he has expended all money on family,BANKER has no right of realization of loan from you or your father.
Refuse to pay in straight way.
