Repeated threatening by land grabbers

(Querist) 12 November 2012 This query is : Resolved
We live in Karur district of Tamilnadu

In 2008, about 6 families in my neighbourhood decided to donate a piece of land.

During that occassion, 7 documents were prepared.

Using that opportunity, a five member gang ( 4 of them are known to us ) inserted 2 more documents and obtained signature from my aged father.

All 9 documents are un-registered.

After a year, we lodged a complaint with police and issue was not sorted outat that time.

After forming Land Grab Cell in Police Dept, complaint was submitted once again in 2011.

3 of those offenders had given a written statement that they had not committed this crime; we still do not know about the statements of 2 others.

Since this incident, we have been facing repeated threats by the offenders .

Also, these offenders have political support; with this political support, these 5 ofenders have been harassing my family by lodging false complaints once in 6 months.

We would like to know,

1) how to protect ourselves from threats

2) how to put an end to harassment by opponents with false police complaints

Kindly advise us the suitable legal course

Regards

if you have lodged complaint and no action is taken by cops file complaint before magistrate under section 156(3) to direct the cops to investigate and submit reprt .

Making threat over phone especially for some unlawful gain amounts to both criminal intimidation and extortion.
So do note the call details and if possible record the threats.
Then complain to the Police.
If it refuses to take any action then go to court and file petition u/s 156(3) crpc.
Your action would only stop such anti social activities.

It seems that police is pressurized under the 'effect' and power of goons involved in this matter so it shall be better to file criminal complaint under section 200 of criminal procedure code before the local magistrate.
