Mistake in name

Dear All
I have agricultural land in gujarat in my grand fathers name. Sha(Salute called for business men in gujarat ) Sha Chandu Deru.. but his real name is Chandrakant Deru Patel. While transfering the name fromn manual records to Computer, name wrongly entered as CHANDU DERU SHAH . (which is wrong as SHA was only salute name as SHRI) ) .How can it be recitifed in 7 12. to Chandrakant Deru Patel

Visit a local revenue lawyer and apply for correction with old proofs you have about his correct name.

He has died in 1984. Only thing i have is old ration card (mumbai) and Income tax assessment order of his HUF (1982) (with his sign as Karta ). pl advise whether ths proof is enough for changing name

dear querist ,
revenue officials dnt have powers to change the name or correction in the name as its complicated matters, you have to file simple declaratory suit regarding this in civil court.feel free to call for detailed procedure.
