Buying apartment from sc/st

Hi,

I am interested in buying a apartment in Bangalore(Karnataka) from a person who is a SC/ST and bought it some 5 year back from builder.

Please advice is it ok to buy the apartment from SC/ST?

I heard only SC/ST can buy from SC/ST.

The bar is only for agriculture land of ST.
