Maintenance tax

I have my property in maharashtra in sindhudurg District. We have a co-operative society. They collect Rs. 1500/- Yearly as maintence Tax. we only stay there for 15 days in year. Society members never send us any report of current situation in the society nor care to inform us over the telephone.this action they have taken to reduce of postal charges. I would like to know the roll of society members.? not information of society business is proper?

Please guide me.

they are collecting tax for mainten the socity not for providing information to you.

You can check the minutes register to know day to day business of society.

The society is not liable to send the account details to every member,.

please note that society is bound to send you auidted account . AGm is to be hled every year . Society is bound to issue you clear notice of 14 days about AGM .

if society has failed to furnished you audited accounts and minutes of AGm you can complain to registrar
