Whether a person having a pending criminal case is eligible for govt service in civil post like Juniour engineer , clerk , and other ? (i am only asking about civil post not the post in police , paramilitary or defence services)

Please answer me with proper rules enforced ?

Not eligible for any type of post in any department. Verification procedure is same in all deptts.

Unless convicted in a case involving moral turpitude he is eligible to apply for all posts.generally application contains a column of dis closer,where he must state about pendency of the criminal case.
Generally he may face issues during interview.

I don't know about govt service, but I have worked in private companies at very senior positions despite a criminal case pending against me.

I have changed jobs too with case pending against me.

My question to mr ashutosh misra can u provide any citation for a person being eligible for govt service with pending criminal case ?
