respected experts........
pls let me know whether a divorced lady (major) is not aware of the where abouts of her divorced husband, can claim maintenance from his father (who is a employee)?
(2)What is the solution if a maintenance petition filed by the wife along with her divorced child(aged about35yrs)claiming maintenance from her husband & father of the married child, was returned with an objection that how can be the petition maintainable as the daughter was major and divorced.
(3) whether the petition should be filed afresh only by the neglected wife or any remidy to calim maintenance for the two petitioners?

1. No , only the husband is likable.
2.Petition is indeed not maintainable.
3.Yes it should be withdrawn and be filed against the husband.

The daughter has only right of residence in the joint family dwelling house including right of partition of it.
