Did they replace the jail meal or not, when you pointed out to them?

I checked with them thrice before started earing, I took some bites then subsequently my co-passenger stopped me and subsequetly they replaced the meal. But I took some bites due to their mistake.

Everything is written in email communication and they had not denied about this.

Yes, if you strongly believe that there was deficiency of service, you can definitely approach the Consumer Court. As far as the amount of compensation / damages which you can seek - it is upto you.

Having said this, I have a very serious and fundamental doubt, whether I would not be recognising my normal meal with which I am so familiar right from childhood?

Yes,serving you non veg food instead of jain food amounts to defficient services for which you can approch to consumer form and will definitely get compensation.
