Hi, im in need of real help.i am a christian and have married my first cousin that is my fathers brothers daughter throught the special marriage act.,and now i am being forced to cancell the marriage becuse they say its illegal and void.and been told i can go to jail,im in a fix with my wife not with me and the cops are of no help.what is the actual fact
please reply as soon as possible.

no need to cancel, your in done with special marriage act, so dont bother about.

CHECK THE FIRST SCHEDULE PART I AND PART II OF SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT IF YOUR RELATION FALLS WITHIN PROHIBITED DEGREE THEN NOT WITHSTANDING ITS REGISTRATION THE MARRIGAE SHALL STAND VOID.

NOW I HAVE CHECKED ON MY OWN HAVE EXAMINED EVERY THING AND SORRY TO SAY THAT THE ACT UNDER WHICH YOU GOT YOUR MARRIAGE REGISTERED(SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT)
PROHIBITS A MAN FROM MARRYING A LADY WHO IS HIS FATHERS'BROTHER DAUGHTER, THEREFORE THE
MARRIAGE IS VOID.
BUT SINCE YOU BOTH ARE ADULT,LIVING TO GATHER MAY GO SO LONG YOUR LADY IS AGREEING.
HOWEVER NO BODY CAN SEND YOU JAIL ON THIS GROUND.DESPITE REGISTRATION LAW WILL DEEM IT SO AS NO MARRIAGE HAS TAKEN PLACE

thank u everyone who have replied .. im very gratefull.. i guess there's nothing in the eyes of law that i can do at the moment especially when the cops too r not supporting the person i love and who is willing to risk it all... only way i guesss is to get it done the roman catothic way with a letter from the bishop.. i'll work on that. if there anythinh else that comes around please let me know abt it beacuse i will not rest till i solve this issue because i belive it can be done.. so thank u everyone for your advices and interst to help.. keep things posted.. thank you. god bless.
