There can not be any format. You have to spefically deny / contradict with facts and documents the pleadings of the petitioner.

No such special format is there. You simply deny the allegations and present your case on affidavit. It is called affidavit in opposition.

Dear Querist,

If the writ petition is yet to be filled, you may immediately get Caveat filed which would in effect help your case since no order shall be passed without hearing you.

If writ petition has already been filled, and notice has been issued in the matter, you may file counter affidavit stating all the objections that you might have.

There is no specific format, yet depending upon HC Rules, one or two necessary averments are to be made in the counter affidavit.

Trust this would suffice.
