appointment of persons as per mines act

(Querist) 05 March 2011 This query is : Resolved
I m a commerce graduate...and I am working in oil mines. Management has forced me to work in mines...whether there is any restriction as per omr or mines act to appoint only qualified persons in mines. can my company post me in mines though I do not posses any technical qualification. my appointment letter clearly states that I have to serve anywhere as per the company's descritionary powers. can a company do that ? my point is whether a company appoints a doctor and later on divert him to the field duty..................

On what post you were appointed and what are the terms & conditions of your appointment letter or offer letter?

I agree with Mr. PS Dhingra sir. its depends upon the terms and condition of your appointment letter or offer letter. If it is written in that you can transfer any where than you have to work their if u wish to remain in that company.
