Section 498

I am married for the last 12 years. We do not have any children. All these years my wife & in laws exploit me and my wife send money to her parents she misbehaves with me. Whenever I object my father in law threatens me that they will file complaint against me under 498.
Whenever I do not agree to my wife’s demand she goes to her parent’s house. Two years back she went to her parents house & one and half years back i filed a divorce case they threatened me to withdraw the case otherwise they will file complaint against me under 498. I withdrew the case she started living with me. Again unreasonable demands by her I refused again she has gone to her parents home and asking unreasonable things, again blackmailing under 498. My wife’s Uncle (Mama) is Joint Director Prosecution. Please advise what to do

If you find unable to lead life with your wife, Collect the proof of your wife and her parent's greediness and threatening(any letters or phone calls e.t.c.. Then face the trial with these proof, if they files against you.

See you can restrain her from filing a case under section 498A. Lodge a complaint in the police and file a suit for Restitution of conjugal rights.

EVERY NEW OFFENCE ON SUBSEQUENT DATES MAY ATTRACT THE PROVISIONS OF SAID SECTION OF I.P.C.HENCE IT IS ADVISIBLE TO KEEP COOL AS MOST OF THE ACTS ARE IN FAVOUR OF MARRIED WOMEN SO AS SUPREME COURT HAS SAID FOLLOW THE SAME WIFE IS ALWAYS RIGHT.GOOD LUCK.
