contract

(Querist) 22 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
if there is no mention of a fixed time period in the agreement then in what way it will be interpreted?
Kirti Kar Tripathi (Expert) 22 October 2010
in this ways, the agreement is incomplete. you may give notice to the other party to rectify the defects. an agreement cannot be for indefinite period. under the circumstances, the court will determine the reasonable period for execution of the agreement. you may approach to court also.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 22 October 2010
Yes then the agreement would considered to be completed in a reasonable time. Now there is no straight jacket formula for reasonable time. The reasonable time is to be understood from the conduct and intention of the parties concerned.
s.subramanian (Expert) 23 October 2010
